Here I will share seven tips to deal with banish wrinkled clothes and rumpled
curtains, which I think is very useful in the daily life. When you read this
article, ask yourself: Am I ironing
right? If the answer is no, then get it right.
1. Temperature is a very important factor. Generally speaking, if we want
to iron silks and synthetics, 350°F will be a good choice. If you clothes are
made of wool and cotton, we’d better iron them on 400°F to 425°F. If the
temperature is not suitable, you can wait a minute till the iron
gets hot.
2. In order to banish your wrinkled clothes, you should hang up or fold
them as soon as they are ironed.
3. If you must iron large things such as sheets, curtains and so on. You
can iron them on a table which has a damp towel on it, so that the table won’t
be burned by the steam or hot temperature.
4. You can put a pressing cloth such as a clean cotton cloth, a
handkerchief, or a napkin on your clothes which were made of sensitive fabrics,
so that they won’t become shiny.
5. You can also use an extension cord if you want, it’s up to you. But I
recommend use a 12-ampere cord, because if you use a lighter-weight cord, it
will cause fire for overheat. Besides, the extension cord should not be too
long, it’s terrible and dangerous to trip over by you own cord.
6. When begin to iron, please from the bottom to the top and the inside
to the outside.
7. Last but not least, in order to let the crease to set, wait for about
two hours after you finished all the work.
